Don’t read if you hate lighthearted romance and nerd/jock tropes. No angst. Just two adorable dorks falling in love.

i am at 69% in this book and Beck is STILL holdin a grudge, 10 years later, about something that happened in high school! i mean, yeah, Monty was a bully and a jerk in high school. Bad behvior, no excuses. But the guy has apologized a million times, been nice, feels terrible he was such a jerk in high school. But COME ON! 10 years later! People change when they grow up, or at least I think most people do! I guess I just think it's taking holding a grudge kind of over the top. I understood Becks feelings for awhile, but now its getting old and feels rather mean spirited, given the progression of their relationship (even though Beck would probably yell at me for calling it that).It feels like Monty has tried to grow up and be honest about what motivated his actions. Beck continuing to tell him he doesn't like him all the time just gets real old at this point in the story and in their relationship. Kind of a constant wet blanket on anything even remotely caring or romantic or intimate. disappointing.I actually like Monty's character. This could have been a fun story. For me it's just getting really redundant and tiring. I noticed other reviewers thought this was funny and sweet. Yeah, not for me.
